Macro moment

At dversepoets.com/this-is-us/ we took a macro photo and then wrote a poem of no more than 140 characters. This is a picture I took in Norfolk.

Gossamer-winged,
satin-eyed,
a thorax of burnished brass,
the hover fly embraces yellow and pollen
One planet in a flower bed galaxy.

I love the words and stunning picture ~ I specially like this line: One planet in a flower bed galaxy. That’s perspective ~

That is a true macro. Larger than life. Great details in words and picture.

strong image and sense of small in context

  5. Fabulous photo (really) and fitting poem to go with it. And as small and macro as that – a universe in a picture – imagine the worlds within each – molecules, atoms, electrons, protons, etc all in movement mirroring the many planets, stars, galaxies, in this incomprehensible universe. Wow!
